The case, which involves Park Ridge constituent, Lori Fredrics, who was targeted for criminal prosecution by a local elected official and lawyer, after she publicly questioned the propriety of his actions, is not merely a personal dispute; it is a significant legal battle that explores the boundaries of political free speech and the accountability of public officials to obey local and state laws, just as their constituents are expected to do.
We believe that when a constituent is targeted for their political speech by an elected official and lawyer, an imbalance of power is created, and the integrity of the entire system is put at stake.

Unbeknownst to her, by this point in time, Greg Hoffman has already filed retaliatory criminal charges against Lori Fredrics.
Ms. Fredrics continues to ask difficult questions about
Bruce Goldsmith's support of extremist Park Ridge Board of Education Trustee, Robert Fisher, and Greg Hoffman's failure to renounce his running mate's actions in facilitating a disastrous Fisher tenure, as well as further questions about the Campaign's false and misleading attack on Democratic candidate, Tommy Greco's position on overdevelopment in Park Ridge:
Legal Defense
November 2, 2025, two days before Election Day:
Targeted criminal prosecution is initiated following her public dissent.
Park Ridge Councilman and lawyer, Greg Hoffman
files a criminal complaint in Pascack Joint Municipal Court alleging Criminal Mischief by Lori Fredrics for allegedly affixing a small, removable sticker containing protected political speech* on his campaign sign, which neither damaged nor obscured any of the text on the sign.
The sign had been placed illegally on public property in Park Ridge in breach of Municipal Ordinance § 101-34, which limits the placement of political and election signs to private property.

According to a Municipal Prosecutor, Councilmember Greg Hoffman now has constituent, Lori Fredrics "in his crosshairs."
